Designing Process
1. I started by measuring the maximum resolution of my PC. Prototyping it with paper to simulate the screen size. As I always look to gaming environment, what make them appealing the visual used when change to full size. Will check in Flash how to set the window size when publishing in Action Script. Here http://www.unitconversion.org/typography/centimeters-to-pixels-y-conversion.html that I used to convert from cm to pixel.
2. This is my first day to start over all 3D Max stuff using 3D Max 2009 in the lab. So,now I am going to model a "movie box review". I want to use "cube" that has 6 faces to locate a 6 movie review for 6 different category that I plan for. The animation, horror, special, romantic, comedy and action. So,the idea is I want to apply UV Mapping technique for texturing the 6 faces of cube with 6 different 2D image that will be designed in Photoshop. For interactivity I am going to apply rotation technique control by the user. Don't know how?But will figure out. Following are steps should be considered for this scene concept:
2.1 Create 6 2D image to present a movie review.This will archieved
by copy paste activity on the web and do referencing in the
documentation.
2.2 Modelling a cube,UV Mapping and lighting.
2.3 Figure out how to apply interactive rotation animation.
Currently, I am downloading 3D Max 2009 from the OEM website.Took hours to download.well not the registered one.Cost me like $165 including transaction fee.I really hope can install the software on my laptop to speed up the process and I can work more on my project in comfortable manner. That said, the lab PC isn't so bad although sometime crash but no photoshop, other graphic software instead of paint in this PC.And editing picture using Paint ,huh, really "paint"ful.

Flash Action Script 3.0
This resources that I found out really useful for me to complete Assignment 3 for this course. While, I don't really have time to get support. Also, to avoid any disappointment when throwing question about Action Script 3 particularly in programming for my application. I really think that I don't really get a real support that I needed for this course so be independence is the only approach to get me pass this course. So, here is the adobe video that I found at F1 documentation in Flash CS4.I am really happy after watch this video.
The most basic interactivity ever in Action Script 3.0:
Including using Tween class in the following video:
Drag and drop tutorial in Action Script 3:

The following video is about editing sound using SoundBooth CS4. Also I found in F1 Flash CS4 documentation:
Finally I found this. So, glad.

Texturing In 3D Studio Max
This tutorial I retrieved from the following link and written by Stealth_Snake. During the interim presentation that I didn't finish the texturing process. While I already has some basic understanding of Modelling object in 3D max ( that's can make me cry) so I think this tutorial might be useful for me. Because, I already uninstalled the 3D Max trial version from my PC so I have to go to the computer lab to try it on. Promise to reflect back later when I finished the tutorial and will posted any cool things or trouble issue occured while doing this tutorial.

The first thing happen after opening the scene file, took me a second to find where is display button to hide/unhide certain part on the model.Following picture shown where the location/icon for open a display panel in 3D Max 2009.Click on the monitor icon to open the display panel.

We need to change the standard material editor to multi/subobject. Then, again took me a while to figure out which part of menu needs to click to change it after i press M.Following picture show it where.

Introduction
This blog was created for me to store all resources that I acquired for completing MMDS7964 courses. This my second semester course towards Master of Interaction Design. The name of this course is 3D and Interactive media. This course was conducted by experience lecturer name Laz Kastanis, that recently apearred on UQNews magazine as a research team for Virtual Art project. Also, the practical session was conducted by skillful tutor. The offiicial software for this course are 3D max for project 2, incorporates with Flash for Project 3. Meanwhile, we also required to complete 3D Exploration for assignment 1 by employing Google Sketch Up and Terragen.
By finding that 3D studio Max is considered as a complex software for me to explore, and to manage to do and ask everything "How To?" to the tutor during the two hours and seems difficult. So, I opted to find some resources including the tutorial that I got after Googling on the internet, and placed it on the site that I can access anytime instead of finding back that resources every time I want to use it. Then, I will followed the tutorial and if I found is difficult or any trouble to understand it, then I will arose it during the practical and get support from tutors. I think this way should be efficient for learning process.I hope so because I didn't have a lot of time to finish my 3D and Interactive media project, combining with other 3 courses that I also enrolled for this semester.
Wish me luck!!
